Introduction to Colorado’s Newest Drone Flying Park

One of the missions of the Central Colorado UAS Club has been to create a place where drone pilots can learn to fly and hone their skills. The Drone Flying Park concept was embraced by the Town of Buena Vista, Colorado, and will result in the first municipal park dedicated to the legal and safe use of drones. We will give an overview and history of the development and look to the future as well. Taylor Albrecht is co-founder and President of Central Colorado UAS, a not-for-profit organization created in October 2017. He has been involved in aviation education since 2007 and is a certificated Private Pilot with Instrument Rating, Advanced and Instrument Ground Instructor, Part 121 Aircraft Dispatcher, and Remote Pilot. He has been an FAA Safety Team Representative since 2011 and is listed there as a DronePro.
